Just a quick note to say a huge "THANK YOU" and to tell you that I am very grateful to you for taking the time to vote for my song in the contest so far. Your voting has paid off and WE have MADE IT INTO THE TOP 40. So exciting, now it's on to ROUND 2.
I STILL NEED YOUR HELP. Next round of voting is for Top 10 placement and you can vote as often as you like until July 11. If we can make it into round 3, this will move my song to the Judging Panel. The judging panel will evaluate the top ten (10) and then determine the three (3) finalists who will perform at the “Capital Hoedown Showdown Finale” in front of a panel of judges and a live audience in Ottawa on July 28, 2011.

Okay, so first off...you can't just go onto the contest, find me and vote a million times, it doesn't work like that. To be fair, everyone in the contest gets a chance to be heard. So, they present you two or more songs, you compare and vote for which one you prefer. At some point, my song entry should come up in the judging. You may be asked to register to vote in the beginning, if you've voted previous...just login. You should also be able to log in using your Facebook login, if you have one.
On July 11th at midnight, the artists that are in the Top 40 will go onto the finals or the Top 10. Three of the Top 10 will be chosen to audition live for contest judges and one will be chosen to perform on Main Stage at the Capital Hoedown.
Please note that voting does take a little time to do, so please only vote if you have a few minutes to spare. You can vote as often as you wish until the contest closes.

1. Choose and click on the "Facebook Login" (big blue F icon)...or you can choose to "Join" and create a fan account. If you have already voted, then you will already be registered so you can just log in.
2. Once you are logged in. Click on Judge (along top left of screen) and then select "Capital Hoedown Showdown". This should take you to the competition's page. (The way the competition works is, you have to vote for every song your presented with. It is done this way to avoid popularity contests. If you keep judging, my song will eventually come up. . You have to listen to each song for 15 seconds at least and then cast your vote as to which one you prefer). Judge using Head to Head - You'll be shown two items, chosen by our advanced software that guarantees every artist receives an equal number of views throughout the month- long competition. Listen or watch both items for at least 15 seconds. Then decide which one you like better and by how much. Your ranking is registered along with all the other votes and is used to compile our near real-time charting.
