A NEW YEAR and a new song!

Happy New Year, my friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful time bringing in 2012. I wish you and yours much happiness and health for the coming year.

So, I am celebrating the first day of 2012 by releasing a new song to radio! It was sent out on December 30th to radio stations across Canada and should be sitting in their mailboxes ready to open on Monday morning.

The new song is called "More Than Kiss" is actually not a brand new song, it was one of the first songs I wrote, and has been through many changes since it was first penned in 2004. This is the first official recording and I am pretty excited about the finished product.

The new release comes hot on the heels the recent release of my Christmas song, "If It Felt Like Christmas" which reached #9 in the Top Indie Downloads on DMDS and has been playlisted at various radio stations across Canada/US and in Europe.

You know, when used for "good"...you have just got to love today's technology. The funny thing is...the song has already been to Nashville without me. It was sent down to the very capable hands of the folks at Beaird Music Studios in Nashville, where it was recorded and mixed. It also includes the musical talents of Larry Beaird, studio owner and nominee for the Academy of Country Music Guitarist of the Year. Larry has played acoustic guitar, banjo, and mandolin on thousands of recording sessions including records for Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill, Trace Adkins, and Montgomery Gentry. Needless to say, the song was in good hands and came back sounding better than I imagined. I'm am still a little jealous of it's Nashville trip, though. HA. :)

If you are in Canada, please call up your local country or community radio station and request it. I will also keep you updated on the radio stations that have it playlisted, along with their song request information to make this easier for you.
